ReqMan™ Requirement Management solution

The Challenge

After requirements have been gathered, how do you efficiently manage a requirement during a project?

Requirements often change during the lifecycle of a project. How do you track when they changed, how they changed, who introduced the change, and who confirmed the change?

Time pressure can lead to decisions made under duress with a number of different communication methods. How can you manage requirements efficiently when changes hit a project from many different angles and many different sources?

It’s often important to know how requirements and stakeholders are related.  Which stakeholder’s submission led to the creation of a requirement? What priority does each requirement have? How are requirements related to one another?

Finally, how do you ensure that requirements are defined and fulfilled in a compliant way? How can you ensure that requirements are defined in a timely manner by the right stakeholders? How do you avoid redundant or vague requirements slipping through the cracks? How can you ensure that requirements are followed and fulfilled? How do you relate that information to your current project team and capture your best practices for future teams?

Requirement management brings many hard questions to the table, questions that require tremendous effort and organization to properly answer.

Did you already learn Reqman in 10 minutes?

Do you know how to create your first project?

Need to handle change requests, test cases or bugs?

You can also create plans, manage tasks and keep track of time registrations.

ReqMan™ is free – what’s the catch?

The Solution

Because ReqMan™ houses all information in one central database, there’s no effort wasted on tracking or organizing changes. And because all of the information about a requirement are permanently attached to a requirement and stored in ReqMan™, you can trace all of the inputs to a requirement by stakeholder, time, or specific change quickly and easily. Redundant and vague or incomplete requirements are also much easier to spot with all of the requirement information in one place.

ReqMan™ also includes extensive capabilities to clarify and hone requirement definitions including stakeholder questionnaires, links between requirements, requirement priority, and requirement attributes.

Furthermore, ReqMan™ includes a full business logic engine known as the Workflow module so that you can not only trace accountability throughout the requirement management process, but you can set up notifications of deadlines and tasks that must be completed in the order they must be completed.

Because you can set permissions for each team member on the project, you can ensure that the proper people make the proper decisions at the proper time with Web browser access as the only prerequisite. And because you can use ReqMan™ to generate reports in industry standard formats, you can easily create requirement specifications, analysis to be used in the final contract, and even test documents.

Finally, because ReqMan™ information is stored centrally allowing key project creations, such as questionnaires, permission lists, and documents, to be saved as templates, your requirement management best practices are preserved.
