The Challenge
Gathering requirements can be a chaotic process, to say the least. On complex projects, requirements can come from many different directions and in many different formats. Stakeholders and team members submit requirements in e-mails, spreadsheets, Microsoft Word documents, face-to-face meetings, and phone calls. There’s often no way to easily convert and track user needs to requirements. And there’s often no clean link between a requirement submission from a stakeholder and the final requirement generated from that submission, let alone a detailed record of all the steps along the way.
