Test case template

When creating your first project it is a good idea to start with our best practice template for handling test cases. Use this standard project template as is or change it afterwards to your exact needs by modifying the custom fields.

Follow these steps to copy the template to your project:

  • Start by clicking on "+" next to your project in the left menu. The test case template will be copied to this project.
  • Click on "+" next to "Wiki" in the left menu.
  • Click on "Copy wiki".
  • Select "Technology" in the Industry drop down menu.
  • Select "Software Test Case Template".
  • Click "Copy".
  • Click "Specifications" in the left menu.
  • Click "Software Test Case Template".
  • Change the name and click "Save" if necessary.
  • Click "Custom fields" and modify as required.

You can modify the custom fields and their values to suit your specific needs. When ready, save your test case template for future use in your other projects.

You have now created a test case template in your project. For each new test case, create a new "requirement" in this specification.

Tip: You can link each test case to all the affected business and functional requirements. Select the test case you want to link and click "Add requirement link". Then search and select the requirement you want to link to. Repeat if you want to link to more than one requirement.
