  ReqMan™ is free – what’s the catch?

Then logon and learn Reqman in 10 minutes.

Then watch the video or follow these easy steps:

1. Create new project.

  • Start by clicking on a project in the left menu (red writing). You should have a project called "Demo project" or "My first project".
  • Click "New project" at the top.
  • Type the name of your new project.
  • Enter a "Start date" and an "End date" by clicking in each field.
  • Click "Save"

Tip: We recommend creating two specifications:

  • A business requirements specification with requirements regarding the overall business needs written for approval by management.
  • A functional requirements specification with detailed requirements written for approval by users with detailed knowledge about each specific requirement.

The business requirements can then be linked to the corresponding functional requirements using the linking function in ReqMan. Go to the detailed requirement page for the requirement you want to link and click "Add requirement link". Then search and select the requirement you want to link to.

When creating your first project it is a good idea to start with our best practice templates. Use these standard project templates as is or change them afterwards to your exact needs by modifying the custom fields.

2. Copy template for business requirements specification to your project.  Click here.

3. Copy template for functional requirements specification to your project.  Click here.

For more information about how to use specifications see "Getting started guide".

4. You are now ready to create your first requirement.

You can modify your custom fields at any time later on if you need to. Just click on the specification you want to modify.

When you have finished modifying the specifications according to your needs, you can save them as templates for future use on your next project.

For more information about how to use the Requirement Module see "Getting started guide".

The User Module, the Questionnaire Module, the Invitation to Tender Module and the Reporting Module are also described in "Getting started guide".

Need to handle change requests, test cases or bugs?

You can also create plans, manage tasks and keep track of time registrations.
